In the beautiful church of St Benedict’s, Newton, with its stunning
acoustic, The Graduate Choir NZ presents music to mark the Feast
of the Nativity of the Blessèd Virgin Mary.
With Marian music that will touch the soul, this recital will feature
Arvo Pärt’s hauntingly beautiful setting of the Magnificat along with
gems of choral literature dedicated to Our Lady. The programme
will be interspersed with settings of the best-loved of the Marian
texts – Ave Maria.
Special guest artists include the Sacred Heart College Junior
Choir and Philip Smith (organ).

Share the Christmas spirit with friends and family, the APO and The Graduate Choir NZ in a concert of carols and festive melodies. This annual concert at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell is a perfect way to welcome Christmas to Auckland.
Vocalist Ben Makisi, known as New Zealand’s finest Pacific tenor, has starred with NBR NZ Opera and in 2012 featured in the concert performance of Nabucco with the APO. Brett Kelly, one of Australia’s top resident conductors, leads this celebratory programme.
